A resident of Colorado for over 30 years, artisan, Lindsey Johnson, has been creating her handcrafted fine jewelry in beautiful Rifle, Colorado for nearly 20 of those years. Her “Stranded” jewelry line is well known throughout the valley and is featured at Cooper Corner Gallery in Glenwood Springs and the Midland Arts Company in Rifle. From necklaces and pendants to earrings and bracelets, each piece of handmade art jewelry showcases the skill of an artist while making a unique statement of style.
Lindsey’s jewelry designs reflect a long standing fascination with silver and the multitude of color combinations and patterns she can create with semi-precious gemstones, beads and sterling silver. All ear wires, bead wire and chains on Lindsey’s designs are made of 925 sterling silver. Each piece she designs, whether it is an elegant semi-precious stone pendant or a string of classic pearls, is a unique one of a kind.
Recently Lindsey has become interested in the wonder of watercolors and began learning the various techniques and possibilities of hand painting scarves. Working with both fiber reactive and acid dyes, she’s able to create colorful, flowing 100% silk scarves in a rainbow of color combinations and designs that perfectly compliment her elegant jewelry creations.
